I have to say this chandelier is very intimidating when it arrives in the giant box. The box sat undisturbed for months while I tried to decided if it would not over whelm my dinning room. When I finally got the guts to install it, I was pleasantly surprised. This thing made the room much more than it ever was before. The only thing I would caution is it is probably better in a room with at least a 9' ceiling. If I had 8' ceilings I don't know if I could see a person across the table from me.
