Slightly better price than my local big-box store, with tax and free shipping. This is what typically gets installed in new construction.It is designed for 6" recessed "can" lights.It is made to fit the R30 size light bulbs which are the typical size installed in new construction.R30 bulbs are not as small as a regular incandescent bulb, but not as big as the R40 'oversized' bulbs that you can also fit in a 6" can light.If you want your bulb to be flush with the ceiling, rather than recessed, then this is a good choice and is economical.To get the bulb recessed, you'll end up spending twice as much and if you want the eye-ball type where you can adjust the direction of orientation of the bulb then you'll pay even more.
