Regent Fluorescent Fixture Review

I bought these lights when I could not find the 500W fixtures. The lamp in this light is an Energy Star compliant 42 watt compact florescent mogul base with Coolux Technology that emits 300 watts of light. It has a florescent compatible nighttime "on", daytime "off" photo sensor. This light emits enough white light to illuminate a large area. The fixture can be surface mounted or it can be mounted on a 1 1/4" pipe with the included hardware. I used 5 feet of 2" PVC to a 90-degree elbow then reduced to 1 1/4 diameter eighteen-inch long stub to extend the height of the fixture from the top of my utility pole. I will buy more of these lights when the sale price drops below $30.
