Kichler Lighting - 6292NI - Wall Mount Bath - 2 Light Incandescent - Brushed Nickel Review

There's not much you expect from a lighting fixture.It is supposed to look nice and let the lightbulbs do their thing.I would expect a good fixture to last a life time.We have Kichler throughout the house (it was what the builder used), and this particular item (Broadview brushed nickel vanity fixture) looks to be the same as the ones we have in our master bath, which were installed in 2002.These fixtures started showing corrosion after a few years and did not meet the quality standard I had expected.If we were to sell the house, this would be on the list of need-to-replace items.We were told by the builder that Kichler is some kind of high-end lighting company, but I can't tell that their products are any higher quality than the generic private label products sold by big-box DIY companies.
On a different point, Kichler does have nice designs.On several occasions I've looked for additional Kichler ceiling fixtures to match the style we already had in place in other rooms.I special ordered one fixture fromthe local Kichler dealer who supposedly specializes in these products.They did not know the line well and ended up providing the wrong product.If you need/ want Kichler, I think you're better off ordering online where you can specify exactly the product number and dimensions you want instead of relying on an uninformed intermediary, who is also likely to add a margin for his/her incompetence.
