It really does look as nice as the photo and it is made of real stained glass pieces.Seems sturdy and well-made, and is packed securely in a thick formed styrofoam shell with foam rubber cushioning.In fact there were two serious gouges in the cardboard box that didn't make it anywhere near the glass.But there is one thing to be aware of, if you want to use compact fluorescent lamps, forget it.The sockets are the small christmas type, not standard light bulb size.They will take bulbs up to 60 watts, so it should be pretty bright, but you won't be able to save energy until somebody comes out with energy saving lamps that fit the smaller sockets.Hopefully someday soon 120V LED array lights will be available in small sockets.
