If you are looking for a modern/contemporary look this light is it!It really looks better than this picture as the white bands at the top and bottom are not as pronounced as shown in the picture.As you I have been searching for this style but the cost in most cases is $350 +.I rated this a 4star as the only thing I don't like is that the diffuser is not tight to the shade ...but for the price and the look I am going to live with it!
